How It Works

2. Round One: Category Judging
Each category is reviewed independently by dedicated judges with experience in that genre.
3. Round Two: Final Selection
Top-scoring images advance to a second round for final review and winner selection.
4. Winners Announced

The Judges
Twelve trusted voices from the Women’s Photography Circle community; moderators, instructors, and experienced members serve as this year’s judges.
Each category is reviewed independently by a panel of three judges with experience in that genre.
Submissions move through a two-round evaluation process to ensure thoughtful, fair selection of winners.

About the Contest
The Women’s Photography Circle Photo Contest is a community-driven celebration of women photographers across the United States.
Open to women ages 18+, this annual contest is about more than winning — it’s about showing up for one another, recognizing creative work, and expanding access to photography education.
Funds raised through the contest go directly toward photography education grants for women, creating more opportunities, access, and support within our community.
With four categories and multiple winners in each, the contest highlights a range of styles and voices, from wildlife and landscapes to macro and portraits, while strengthening a community rooted in creativity and women supporting women.
