1. Eligibility

This contest is open exclusively to women photographers who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry.  Women's Photography Circle is a community dedicated to uplifting and supporting women in photography, and as such, participation is limited to individuals who identify as women. By entering, participants confirm that they meet this eligibility requirement. This contest is only open to people from the United States of America. To ensure a person that identifies as a women wins the contest, winners identities will be verified prior to announcing winners. 

Judges can not enter the contest.

2. Contest Period

The contest begins on March 1st, 2025 and ends on April 3rd, 2025. It is possible the contest could be extended. All entries must be submitted by April 3rd, 2025, 8 PM CST to be considered.

All entry fees are non-refundable. Once an entry has been submitted, no refunds will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to disqualification, withdrawal, or failure to meet submission guidelines.

3. How to Enter

  • Submit your photo through the contest before the deadline.
  • Each participant may submit up to 10 images per submission.
  • You may enter more than 10 images but will need to start a new submisson.
  • Each entry is $12 -  ie; if you submit 10 images it will cost $120
  • Photos must be original work taken by the entrant. See categories for specific instructions.
  • Entries should align with the contest themes of landscape, wildlife, or flora and fauna.

4. Photo Guidelines

  • Submitted photos must be high resolution and in [Accepted Formats – e.g., JPG, PNG].
  • Minimal post-processing is allowed, but AI-generated or heavily manipulated images are not permitted.
  • Minimal post-processing means you can make basic adjustments to enhance your photo, but the integrity of the original scene should remain intact. Acceptable edits include:
    ✔️ Exposure, contrast, and color adjustments
    ✔️ Cropping and straightening
    ✔️ Sharpening and noise reduction
    ✔️ Removing dust spots or minor distractions
    However, heavy manipulation—such as compositing multiple images, digital painting, adding or removing major elements, or altering the scene in a way that misrepresents reality—is not allowed.
  • Watermarks are not allowed.

5. Judging Criteria

Photos will be judged based on:
✅ Creativity and originality
✅ Composition and technical quality
✅ How well the image fits the theme
✅ Emotional impact

The judging panel will consist of experienced photographers from Women's Photography Circle. All decisions are final.

6. Prizes

Winners will receive prizes listed on the prize page.  Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Prize Fulfillment Disclaimer
Women's Photography Circle is not responsible for the delivery of prizes provided by third-party sponsors. While we make every effort to partner with reputable companies, we cannot guarantee the fulfillment of prizes that are offered and shipped directly by the sponsoring company. If a sponsor fails to deliver a prize, Women's Photography Circle is not liable for replacement, compensation, or any associated costs. Contest winners are encouraged to communicate directly with the sponsoring company regarding prize fulfillment.

7. Winner Notification

Winners will be announced on April 24th via email, our website www.womensphotographycircle.com, and social media. If a winner does not respond within  7 days, an alternate winner may be selected.

8. Rights & Usage

By entering, participants grant Women's Photography Circle permission to share submitted photos on our Website, Social Media, Marketing Materials, etc. with credit to the photographer. Copyright remains with the photographer.

9. Disqualification

Entries that do not comply with these rules will be disqualified. Women’s Photography Circle reserves the right to remove any entry that is deemed inappropriate or does not align with the community’s values.

10. Agreement to Rules

By entering, participants agree to abide by these official rules and the decisions of Women's Photography Circle, which are final and binding.
